A Moment of Gratitude, Faith & Purpose at Microhaem Scientifics

At Microhaem Scientifics (MHS), gratitude and purpose guide our mission to save lives through quality diagnostics. We are deeply grateful to God for this progress and the vision that continues to shape our journey.

A Historic Milestone for Africa’s Diagnostics Industry

Microhaem Scientifics recently marked a historic achievement as the first indigenous manufacturer of diagnostic test kits in the Great Lakes Region. This milestone represents a significant step forward in strengthening Africa’s healthcare systems through local innovation and manufacturing.

Commissioning of the Phase II Manufacturing Facility

This milestone followed the successful commissioning of our Phase II manufacturing facility, led by Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, who was the Guest of Honor. The event also marked the official launch of our Phase II expansion, reinforcing our commitment to scaling production capacity and improving access to quality diagnostics.

Thanksgiving Prayer & Foundation Laying Ceremony

In recognition that every achievement is rooted in faith, MHS held a Thanksgiving Prayer and Foundation Laying Ceremony. We dedicated this achievement to God, with Pastor Dr. Moses Maka Ndimukika, Executive Secretary of the East-Central Africa Division (ECD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, leading prayers. His message emphasized faith, stewardship, and service as pillars for sustainable healthcare development.

Advancing Africa’s Healthcare Self-Reliance

Phase II expansion goes beyond infrastructure to reflect Africa’s growing capacity to locally manufacture high-quality diagnostics for Malaria, HIV, Sickle Cell Disease, and other high-burden diseases.

Through this expansion, Microhaem Scientifics is contributing to:

  • Increased access to reliable diagnostic solutions
  • Reduced reliance on imported test kits
  • Faster response to public health needs
  • Stronger and more resilient healthcare systems across Africa

Gratitude to Our Partners and Community

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Government of Uganda, faith institutions, partners, and the communities that continue to support us on our journey to realizing our vision. Your trust and collaboration are vital to achieving a healthier, more self-reliant Africa.

Quality Saves Lives.
