Job Purpose:
To drive and carry out operational and preventive maintenance of MHS vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving MHS vehicle safely and chauffer MHS staff and official visitors to official destinations.
- Regularly cleaning the inside and outside of the vehicle.
- Transporting goods to and from MHS warehouse and making deliveries of the same to clients’ premises/warehouses.
- Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and care of the vehicle.
- Running official errands and assisting with other office activities.
- Keeping accurate and up to date records using the vehicle and fuel log sheets.
- Monitoring and reporting the need for servicing of the vehicle and renewal of insurance policy.
- Compiling the vehicle log book correctly.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least four passes one of which must be in the English Language.
- Possession of a valid driving license (classes BE, C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE)
- Certificate in motor vehicle repair is an added advantage
- Certificate in Defensive Driving is an added advantage.
- At least five years’ experience as a driver in a reputable private company, or a manufacturing environment.

- iv) Time management.
- v) Must be physically fit.
